Registration underway for East Texas Energy Symposium in May

The East Texas Oil Museum at Kilgore College will host the eleventh annual East Texas Energy Symposium on Tuesday, May 5, featuring keynote speaker Dr. Neil Frank.

Frank, the former director of the U.S. Hurricane Center and Chief Meteorologist for KHOU Houston – Channel 11 News, will speak on “Climate Change: Carbon Dioxide Distortions.”

Other speakers include Sendhendu Kashikar, Chief Executive Officer of Reveal Energy Services; Tim Greene, Business Development Manager for Deep Imaging Technologies; and Dr. Mahdi Haddad, Postdoctoral Fellow for the Bureau of Economic Geology.

The symposium will begin at 9 a.m. with a tour of the ETOM, followed by the symposium from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Devall Ballroom.  Lunch will be provided.

Cost to attend is $50.

Local media is invited to attend both the morning presentations and the luncheon.

The ETOM is located at 1301 S. Henderson Blvd. (corner of Hwy. 259 and Ross Ave.) in Kilgore.
